My worst fear!

Anyone that knows me well, knows that I am TERRIFIED of spiders! Yes, I know that sounds cliche' because "everyone is afraid of spiders", but I am DEATHLY afraid of them! Maybe it's because growing up we had a dark, dingy, unfinished basement where spiders were always hiding? Or maybe because I saw arachnophobia when I was 12? I honestly don't know what caused my fear of them...maybe it's the element of surprise? You never know where they are or when they will "jump" out at you! I always seem to be busy cleaning and move a piece of furniture and there it is....a BIG, BLACK SPIDER! It freezes, and once I make a move to get it, it takes off running! Although I'm scared, I still take off after it. I don't want that thing luring around in my house....yuck! Spiders belong outside, not in my house!!

Well, last night Matt and I were watching some TV in our bedroom. All the sudden we both say, "did you see that?" Matt quickly turned on the light-and there it was! A HUMONGOUS black Hobo spider sitting on our curtain! ACK!!! EWWW!! GROSS!!!! What the??? I'm pretty sure this is the kind it was...

Matt quickly took care of it, and I was shaking! I didn't even want to move or get out of my bed. I just wanted to put the covers over my head and hide! I have NEVER seen one that big in our upstairs before. I've seen them in our basement or garage, but never upstairs! I said to Matt "what about the boys? What if one gets into their room and crawls all over them?" Matt's like "well, it's not going to eat them." I was like "yeah right, that thing was HUGE!! It could eat anything!"
Let's just say, I didn't sleep too well last night.....I hate spiders!!!
